With four kids, we love staying active by going to the Recplex and Prairie Springs Park, shopping and restaurants so close by. And being right by the interstate is great if we want to head to Milwaukee or Chicago for the day. It's perfect for our lifestyle. And we can afford much more house than we could in other nearby areas."

It is also abuts the Illinois border, making it the first stop in Wisconsin if you're traveling north. The Kenosha Regional Airport is just a few miles north and within a 45-minute drive are two major international airports: General Mitchell in Milwaukee and O'Hare in Chicago.

Pleasant Prairie's roadways have been designed to make sure that the flow of traffic is effective so that drive times are low, giving travelers the ability to reach most destinations within ten minutes. They have also established truck routes for heavy equipment and vehicles to accommodate businesses and keep these vehicles away from major thoroughfares. Pleasant Prairie has an exciting master plan for road improvements and expansions.

I-94

Interstate-94 - which runs directly through the county from beyond Chicago through Milwaukee - is one of the busiest interstates in the nation seeing an average of more than 80,000 cars per day. Many housing communities in Pleasant Prairie have easy access to I-94, making commutes to nearby areas much easier.

Pleasant Prairie is served by several hospitals, specialty clinics and plenty of primary care options to keep individuals and families healthy. Froedtert South's St. Catherine's campus was built in 2002 - and they continue to invest and expand at the site. Froedtert South also has plans for a medical office building in the new Main Street Market development to be underway in early 2019. Aurora Healthcare is currently building a $130 million facility in the new Prairie Highlands Corporate Park. Residents of Pleasant Prairie have many excellent healthcare options - and those options are expanding every year.
