The Village of Salem Lakes is approximately 10 miles from Interstate 94 which runs directly through the county from beyond Chicago through Milwaukee. A Metra commuter rail station in Antioch, IL is only 3.5 miles south of Salem Lakes, bringing commuters daily to Chicago. Milwaukee Mitchell, Chicago O'Hare, and Kenosha Regional airports are all within an hour drive or less. It's a community that is apart from the hustle and bustle - but you can get there fast if that's what you're looking for!

Western Kenosha County Transit

Western Kenosha County Transit is bus service connecting rural Kenosha County to Kenosha, Lake Geneva, and Antioch, Illinois. Connect to Kenosha Area Transit at Southport Plaza in Kenosha or to the Metra in Antioch or riders may request specific pick-up or drop-off locations within 3/4 mile of the route for an additional $1 fee. Hours of operation are 5:55 am to 6:30 pm Monday-Friday.
